For self-priming pumps, the biggest feature is that they are easy to operate and durable. Generally, they do not require maintenance during use and are only disassembled when a fault occurs. This requires us to do daily maintenance to ensure a long service life and reduce unnecessary troubles.
So for self-priming pumps, how should daily maintenance be carried out? How to maintain in case of a fault? Here is a brief introduction for everyone:

First, rolling bearings, because long-term operation will cause bearing wear, this time will inevitably cause damage, so it is recommended to replace them in time.
Second, the front sealing ring and the rear sealing ring, when these two parts are worn to a certain limit, they need to be replaced. What needs special attention is the sealing of the machine. When there is no leakage, it will not be disassembled for inspection, but if the lower end leaks, it needs to be overhauled as a whole. Generally, the O-ring is aged or improperly installed, and it only needs to be reassembled. For the daily maintenance of the self-priming pump, basically these three parts, although the self-priming pump is more durable, but we also need to perform proper maintenance, so as to ensure its normal operation and bring unnecessary trouble.
During the operation of the self-priming pump, the bearing temperature shall not exceed the ambient temperature of 35 degree , and the maximum temperature shall not exceed 80 degree .
If the self-priming pump has abnormal sound, it should be stopped immediately to check the cause.
When the self-priming pump is to be stopped, first close the gate valve and pressure gauge, and then stop the motor.
When the self-priming pump is not used for a long time and used in the cold winter season, after stopping, the drain plug at the bottom of the pump body needs to be unscrewed to drain the medium. Prevent freezing and cracking. (If it is sewage, please clean the pump cavity with clean water.
